It was on 2nd Jan 2021, Sourav Ganguly experienced mild chest pain & dizziness during a workout session & was admitted to hospital the same day itself.
He was diagnosed with Triple Vessel Disease.
He later underwent a quick primary angioplasty on Jan 3rd to clear a blocked coronary artery after he was diagnosed with three blocks in the RCA (right coronary artery), LAD [Left anterior descending artery], OM2 [second obtuse marginal]
Stenting was done on RCA on January 2nd-2021 & the advice was the rest two blocks were to be revascularized/ stenting to be done after 2-3 weeks.
But on 27th Jan 2021, he was hospitalized for the second time after complaining of chest discomfort.

Sourav Ganguly was running through the Maha Dasha period of Saturn, Bhukti of Saturn & the Antra of Mars- Rahu in his Horoscope.
Yogini Dasa was of Moon-Venus (Mangla- Siddha period) & Moon- Rahu (Mangla – Sankata)period when he was admitted for the 2nd time.
Jaimini Char Dasa period of Pisces- Taurus & later Pisces- Gemini started.
I will be explaining each & every aspect of the ongoing Saturn Maha Dasa, Yogini Dasa, Jaimini Char Dasha & Planetary transit analysis in detail.
Saturn Mahadasa Analysis
The Saturn Mahadasa of Sourav Ganguly commenced on 18-11-2018 where Saturn is the lord of the 6th & 7th houses in his horoscope.
The 6th houses signify diseases, debt, accidents, etc whereas the 7th (Maraka) is the death-inflicting house. There are few important points that I needed to point out which are as under:-
- Saturn is the first-rate malefic planet for Leo Ascendant as it rules over the 6th house (Trik house) as well as owns the 7th house(Death inflicting).
- Saturn is placed in Rohini Nakshatra, the star lord Moon is the ruler of the 12th house which is another Trik house in the horoscope.
- The Moon rules over the 12th house & is the Gulika Bhavana Naatha (Depositor planet of Gulika) who is placed in the 12th house cancer. So this makes Moon highly destructive in nature.
- Saturn aspects Gulika as well as is in conjunction with Gulika Bhavana Natha Moon
- Saturn gets the aspect of Rahu from the 6th house Capricorn.
- Saturn aspects the 12th house occupants debilitated Mars & Ketu.
- Saturn is in the 12th house from the Lagna lord Sun.
- Saturn aspects Mercury who is placed in the 12th & is also a Maraka planet.
- Saturn is with Retrograde Venus.

On 8th July 2020, the Major Jaimini Char Dasha of Pisces commenced for Sourav Ganguly & will run till 9th July 2023.
It should be seriously noted that the Char Dasa period of Pisces activates certain “Arishta Yoga’s” which causes serious health as well as life-threatening. Those Arishta Yoga’s are as under:-

Astrological Analysis on the date of 2nd & 3rd Jan 2021 (Chest Pain & underwent Angioplasty)
On the date of 2nd & 3rd Jan 2021, he was diagnosed with 3 blocked Coronary arteries, following which a stent was inserted in one to remove the blockage.
He was running the Char Dasa period of Pisces- Taurus.
From Taurus, the sign lord Venus who is also the Atmakaraka planet is placed with the malefic planet Saturn, Deha karaka Moon, Gulika & gets the malefic aspects of Ketu & Gk Mars over Taurus.
GK Mars aspects both the sign Taurus as well Athamakaraka Venus.
From Swamsha Lagna, the 4th house Leo which rules over the heart is occupied by Ak Venus & is aspected by Gk Mars from the 6th house Libra.

Astrological Analysis on the date of 26th & 27th Jan 2021 (Hospitalized for the 2nd time)
On the date of Jan 27th, 2021, he was hospitalized again complaining of chest pain. He underwent another angioplasty on 28-01-2021 & two more stents were implanted to clear his clogged coronary arteries.
From the astrological point of view, he was running the Char Dasha of Pisces Dasa- Gemini Bhukti- Pisces antra period.
While analyzing the sign Gemini bhukti period, there are certain arista yogas that gets activated:-
- The sign lord Mercury also being the 4th lord is with Gk Mars & Ketu in Cancer receives the aspect of Ak Venus & Saturn from the 12th house Taurus.
- Moon in the 12th house causes health issues (Arishta Yoga).
- Ak Venus is in the 12th house with malefic Saturn & receives the aspect of Gk Mars, Ketu & Rahu from the 8th house Capricorn.
- The sign Gemini is hemmed in between malefics
- From Swamsha Lagna, the sign is occupied by DK Jupiter.
At the same time, from the Parashari point of view, he was running the period of Saturn Dasa- Saturn Bhukti – the antra period Rahu commences.
Rahu is placed in the 6th house Capricorn.
Rahu mutually aspects the debilitated 4th lord Mars, the 12th house cancer which is occupied by the 2nd & 11th lord Mercury & aspects sign Taurus which has 12th lord Moon, 6th & 7th lord Saturn & gulika
Rahu aspects both the 12th house as well as the 12th lord Moon. At the same time, Rahu is placed in the 6th house & aspects the 6th lord Saturn.

Yogini Dasa Analysis
#1st Event- Jan 2nd- 3rd -2021, Sourav Ganguly was Hospitalized for the first time & a Stent was inserted.
On January 2nd & 3rd-2021, when he had his chest pain for the first time, was going through the Yogini Dasa period of Mangala- Siddha (Moon-Venus).
The progressive Lagna was of Libra (Tula Rasi) of Chitra nakshatra & the Dasa lord is Moon.
The Dasa lord Moon is in the 8th house Taurus from the Progressive Lagna.
The star lord Mars is the maraka from the PL, is found debilitated in the 10th house Cancer with gulika, Ketu & the 12th lord Mercury.
From the birth Lagna, the star lord Mars is in the 12th house.
The 4th house signifies the heart (chest region) of Kalapurusha. The 4th house seems to be highly afflicted as the sign Capricorn is occupied by Rahu & gets the aspects of weak Mars, gulika & the 12th lord Mercury.
Saturn being the depositor planet of Rahu is in the 8th house.
Venus being the Yogini Dasa bhukti lord(sub-period) is also the sign lord as well as the 8th lord. It should be noted that the Yogini Dasa bhukti lord venus is retrograde, is placed in the 8th house Taurus with Moon(Depositor of Gulika), Saturn(Depositor of Rahu)
Sudden events are expected as the 8th house Taurus(Vrisabh Rasi) is aspected by Rahu.
He had to go through surgery on his Heart as the Star-lord Mars from the PL aspects the 4 house & Rahu is with the 12th lord Mercury(Hospitalization).
So the sign lord Venus, Yogini Dasa lord Moon, Saturn who is the depositor planet of Rahu are all placed in the 8th house from (PL).
#2nd Event- On Jan 26th- 27th 2021, Sourav Ganguly was Hospitalized for the 2nd time & two more stents were inserted.
As shown in the Yogini Dasa chart above, the bhukti period changed from Siddha to Sankata when he was hospitalized for the 2nd time.
The progressive Lagna was of Libra(Tula Rasi) of Chitra nakshatra.
The progressive Lagna remains the same, but now the sub-period of Yogini Dasa changes to Sankata(Rahu)from 17th Jan 2021.
The period of Sankata usually brings unexpected tragedies in one’s life as in the case of Sourav Ganguly.
The Yogini Dasa bhukti lord Rahu is in the 6th house from the birth Lagna Leo.
The Yogini Dasa bhukti Lord Rahu is placed in the 4th house gets the direct aspect of debilitated Mars, Gulika & Mercury. As a result, he was again admitted on 27th January complaining of chest pain & 3 stents were inserted on 28th Jan 2021.
Putting all points together the star lord Mars, sub-period lord Rahu & the sign lord Venus are all in unfavorable positions.
Astrological Analysis of Sourav Ganguly from April 2021 to July 2021
From the month of April 6th, 2021 to 8th July 2021, Sourav Ganguly will have to take care of his health as there is a high possibility of him getting hospitalized for the 3rd time.
Astrologically, the Jaimini Char Dasa period of Pisces- Cancer commences where the sign Cancer is the:-
- Subperiod of the 12th house.
- The sign Cancer is occupied by Gk debilitated Mars & gets the aspect of Saturn.
- Athmakaraka Venus aspects over the 12th house & over Gk Mars gives a strong alarming signal for health-related issues.
- Strong argala formed in the 11th house Taurus, as it will increase the negative effects of the sign cancer.
- In Navamsa, the sign is occupied by malefic Saturn & Ketu.
This is the period where the health of Sourav Ganguly will get worse as the sign Cancer is the bhukti period of the 12th house & is badly afflicted.

The Yogini Dasa period of Pingala (Sun) commences on 6th April 2021 where the progressive Lagna is Tula of Swati Nakshatra.
The Dasa lord Sun is in the 9th house from the PL & 11th from the Lagna. Sun & Retrograde Jupiter who is the 3rd & 6th lord mutually aspects each other.
The star lord Rahu is in the 4th house Capricorn & Saturn its depositor planet in the 8th. Rahu & 4th house is again badly afflicted due to the aspect of weak Mars.
From the mid of May 2021, the Yogini period of Pingla- Dhanya starts (17-05- 2021 to 19-07-2021) where Jupiter is the lord of 3rd & 6th of diseases in the 3rd house from the PL & mutually aspects the Dasha lord Sun.

Astrological Analysis of Sourav Ganguly from 2021 July to Oct 2021 period.
By the end of June 2021, Saturn Dasha- Saturn Bhukti & the antra period of Jupiter commences. The antra lord Jupiter being a retrograde planet as well as the lord of the 5th & the 8th houses is placed in the 8th house from the Dasa lord Saturn.

Astrological Analysis of Sourav Ganguly from Oct 2021 to Jan 2022.
The period from Oct 10th, 2021 to Jan 2022 needs more serious attention on his health.
The Yogini Dasa period of PINGLA (Sun)- BHADRIKA (Mercury) will start from 10th Oct 2021 & will run till 17th Jan 2022.
The bhukti lord Mercury is placed in the 12th house from the Birth Lagna(BL) & is the 12th lord from the PL.
At the same time from the Parashari point of view, from 21st Nov 2021, the bhukti period of Maraka Mercury will start who is seriously afflicted & placed in the 12th house.
So in both Yogini & as well as in Parashari, the sub-period of the Mercury starts at the same time

The Char Dasa period of Pisces- Virgo from 10th Oct 2021 to 7th Jan 2022.
Does the sub-period of the sign Virgo(Kanya Rasi) show any signs of danger?
Yes, it does, here are the reason why it is:-
- The Sign Virgo is the Pada of the 6th & the 8th house.
- Virgo is the period of the 2nd house which is a maraka staana.
- The sign is aspected by Dharakarak Jupiter from the 4th house in the Rasi & from the 10th in the Navamsa chart.
- The sign lord Mercury is with Gk Mars in the 11th with Ketu & gets the aspect of the 5th & 6th lord Saturn.

Astrological Analysis of Sourav Ganguly from Jan 2022 to April 2022.
Now, this is the most critical phase of his life & needs serious attention. Here are the reasons why it should be:-
- The Jaimini Char Dasa period of Pisces- Libra commences from the first week of Jan 2020 where both the signs (Pisces & Libra) are in the 6-8 relationship.
- From Libra, Moon is in the 8th house, afflicted due to its placement with Saturn & gulika. From the Swamsha Lagna same repeats as the moon is vargottama & is aspected by Gk Mars, Saturn & Ketu.
- The sign lord Venus is placed in the 8th house & gets the glance of Gk Mars, Ketu & Rahu. Venus is in conjunction with Saturn & Gulika in the 8th house (Taurus).
- The placement of Gulika in the 8th house Taurus indicates danger to life.
- In Navamsa, Gk Mars is placed in Libra & aspects Athmakaraka Venus who is placed in the 11th house, Venus.
- At the same time, he will be running the Vimshottari period of Saturn-Mercury-Mercury where the bhukti lord Mercury is the first-rate Maraka is placed in the 12th house with Gk Mars & Ketu. The 12th house occupant Maraka Mercury is aspected by another Maraka Saturn who is the 6th & 7th lord.
- Readers should seriously note that Saturn & Mercury are the lords of Trik houses.
